On Saturday 10th & 17th October 2020 some of our Kettering Cyclones competed in the final two races of the Team MK Youth Road races at the National Bowl in Milton Keynes.

The weather was a little kinder for the these last two races than the first with the sun shining at moments which made for some enjoyable afternoons at the bowl.

Wins for Lukas

In Race 2 Thomas Taylor-Burt and Lukas Humplik again both took part in the Under 8s race which saw Thomas leading for a time before finishing in fourth. It was Lukas however that took the win comfortably. In Race 3 again Lukas took the win and Thomas shone by improving on his previous positions by sprinting to take third place.

Battle for Jake

In Race 2 Jake Bird battled his way through both of the races for the under 12’s, gaining a place in the second race from the first. There was improvement for Jake in Race 3 by managing to stay with the pack for the duration of the race and looking a lot stronger than in previous weeks.

U14s Regulars

Cyclones regular Amelia Cebak took part in both races for Team MK with some excellent results that included a win in the U14s. Eddie Hennah also racing in the U14s made a comeback for Race 3 after some mechanicals to take a steady placing.
