British Cycling issued a press release on the 09 March 2021. Updating and confirming the guidance easing out of lockdown 3. The Way Forward.

What does this mean to our Time Trial events. It means we can start to resume on the 29th March 2021, ensuring that the events are held and compliant to the government guidelines.

Our club will be using the measures and restrictions we had in place last season, please do read on and make yourself familiar with what we are doing and what is expected of you.

 

Sign up for the TT Events

There will be a limit on riders, see SignUpGenius for the number restrictions. Open to KCC members and guests.

Please read the COVID-19 guidelines below before signing up.

In SignUpGenius, add yourself to the event, and use “comments” to advise the organiser how you are intending to make payment. Your options are:

  • pay by BACS, online or direct bank payment to the club bank account (40-26-07, 21504282) with your name and event reference.
  • or pay on the night, please bring the exact cash amount with you.

Please read these guidelines

Do not attend if you feel unwell.

If you are in a vulnerable group, please do not attend.

Not all risks can be eliminated. Just as you cannot take into account every possibility or occurrence, it is necessary and proper that all obvious risks and likely risks are considered and dealt with by way of a RARA approach (Remove, Avoid, Reduce, Accept).

Pre-registration

If you wish to ride a TT, you MUST pre-register on SignupGenius, by the end of the day before the event is to run. If you need to contact Jon, use timetrial@uwclub.net to communicate with him. Please bring your own pen to sign on.

Entry is still £3 KCC member, £5 guest (see SignUpGenius if guests are permitted)

  • This is an opportunity to Race not Socialise
  • You must preregister.
  • Registrations accepted up to end of the day before to the event.
  • Direct payment to club bank account
    HSBC, sort code 40-26-07, account 21504282, Kettering Cycling Club
  • Pay on the night. Cash is accepted, please bring the exact amount with you.
  • You must not attend the event if you are subject to self isolating restrictions or feel unwell.
  • No entry on the day.

Parking

If you arrive in a vehicle, for either parking on the verges or at a car park, please park sensibly and adhere to the current government guidelines for distancing.

Signing on

Please bring your own pen.

At Old, we will sign on outside, no toilet or changing rooms are available at present.

Come ready to ride.

Race numbers

These will be issued at the event, after you’ve signed on. Return your number at the end, please do so in the bucket provided. Please do not take home.

Warming up

No use of turbo trainers is allowed. If you wish to warm up, please do so by riding the local roads. The usual race rules apply regarding start and U turns. Please ensure you adhere to the government guidelines for safe distancing between you and fellow riders and event organisers.

The start

At the start, there will not be a pusher-off. Please keep your distance when waiting to start.

The finish

Please don’t congregate at the finish or at HQ.

Spectators

Spectators are still welcome but keep your distance and don’t shout too much!
