Everyone is finding their legs

Weather: Sunny with a nip in the air. Still almost no wind.

This week we had 19 riders signed up for the torturous course that tests the fitness and is becoming to be known as a good early season fitness booster.

The weather attracted an array of riders, which resulted in more guest riders than KCC, and we welcomed back the WDAC riders, increasing in numbers each week and it was good to see the return of Kat and Jessica breaking up the all-male line up. This is a discipline for all genders, as racing against the clock is about personal goals and targets, and these two ladies have been putting in faster times each week, keep it up ladies.

For the first time, we saw time trial setups out number road bike, a testament to the weather bringing out the bikes and the preseason training showing dividends, and riders out testing their fitness. With the weather being perfect, it was going to be a fast night and bringing new riders into the KCC league championship table and mixing the others up a bit.

Remember to sign on with your 1st/2nd club (ie GFCS/KCC), rather than just KCC, this will help Jon tally the monies due as well as help us build the results table. Championship points are awarded to 1st claim KCC members.

Here’s how the results ended up:

KCC Riders

Eddie Smith was in forme on the night with a winning time of 32:57, leaving 2nd to Lindsey Smith improving his time from last week 34:12, with a very strong ride on his road bike and by a 2 second margin taking 3rd with 37:30 Adrian Tilley from Eddy Clutton 37:32.

No ladies this week, Eddie Hennah our only junior rider, took first with 40:21, improving each week, so keep it up Eddie.

Fastest overall on the night came from Josh Brown (Tofauti) also taking overall fastest on the night on his road bike 31:27, taking the win from Tony Brown (GFSC) TT setup 31:49, taking 3rd Warren Drew (Rapha) 33:02.
