Saturday easy ride
This weeks Saturday easy / intro ride takes us up to Stoke Albany – it’s nearly twenty miles and is lumpier than usual, but takes you to the edge of the beautiful Welland Valley. Meet for a 10am departure, at the Rockingham Road Pleasure Park bandstand. As usual, we aim to complete the ride in two hours. Distance: Approximately 18 miles
Pace: Easy pace, no-drop policy
Who should attend: This ride is open to all cyclists, but it is not a coaching ride. It is not be suitable for absolute beginners.
Weather: The weather forecast will be reviewed before the ride, and if bad weather conditions are expected the ride will be cancelled up to 24 hours before the start of the ride. Check back on this website for any changes.
Children and young people of secondary school age are welcome to participate in the KCC Saturday easy rides, in line with the following safeguarding protocol:
• Age under 16 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian
• Age 16 or 17 years old not accompanied – a parent or guardian must complete a consent form signed in the presence of the KCC ride leader Parental Consent Form
What to bring:
Please bring your bike, helmet, and water bottle. You may also want to bring a snack or two
