53 mile Sunday roller coaster with Andrea to Cafe Ventoux

A roller coaster with Andrea this Sunday, taking in as many bumps on an anti-clockwise route to Café Ventoux. Setting out to East Carlton to start the first of the climbs from Cottingham up to Rockingham, then Gretton hill, the double dipper to Glaston, climb to Wing and then climb to Manton, followed by the climb to Gunthorpe, a reprive before the long climb past Brooke and then the reprieve into Braunston before the next steep one up to Withcote followed by the short sharp incline up to Launde and a well earned reprive before arriving at Cafe Ventoux. After the refuel, there’s the challenge of Moor Hill to get to Hallaton, with easier bumps back to East Carlton and retrace back to the start via Rushton and Glendon.

+3,573ft, 12.4% steepest climb, over 52.8 miles.

Everyone is welcome – just stick to some basic principles of group riding: obey the traffic laws, ride no more than two abreast, never overlap wheels with the person in front and consider other road users. We’ll make sure no one is dropped.
